Joining the Club
About the Club
We are a volunteer organisation and gliding is a team sport. We have a wonderful community of Members who are passionate about aviation. When we get together for a flying day, everyone pitches in and helps with all the activities required to get the aircraft safely in the air.
Our Club is a great place to learn to fly and our students range in age from 15 up to late 70's. By joining the Club, you will have access to the Club aircraft for the rates below We provide all the tuition and flight training in accordance with the Gliding Australia syllabus. We also have a Flight Simulator to augment this process.

In addition to flying, there are fun ground-related activities too, These include maintaining the aircraft, the vehicles, the grounds and the airfield. All our Members participate in these activities, but we do welcome any Members who wish to focus on ground activities and just participate in the flying as a passenger. Not everyone has to be an aspiring pilot.

Irrespective, if you are considering joining our Club, we would recommend that you enjoy a visit, get a feel for how it all works, meet our Members and enjoy an Air Experience Flight.

​​Joining the Central Coast Soaring Club​
You will need to follow steps 1 and 2:

Join as a member of Central Coast Soaring Club (see fees below.), plus

Join as a member of Gliding Australia. (see fees below)

Membership Fees (from 1st July 2024)

Full ​Club Membership fee $399 pa

Discounted Club Membership fees: full-time Students, Juniors (u18s) and Associate Members : $199 pa

Gliding Australia's full fee $420 (discounts available)
Flying Fees for Members from (1st July 2024)

Winch Launch: $35 (Students or Juniors $25, private gliders $30)

Club gliders air time: $1 per minute with the first 10 mins free

DG1001M air time: $1.50 per min + $3 per min when using engine​​

Flight Instruction: FREE to members thanks to our highly qualified and experienced volunteer Instructors.​
